Windmill 2015: Back to Basics

Windmill 2015: Back to Basics

In September we announced that Windmill would be returning again this June to the grassy fields of Sportspark de Eendracht in Amsterdam. Almost immediately after posting this announcement, the Windmill crew had a series of messages wondering why Windmill is no longer followed by the word Windup on our webpage, Facebook and Twitter account.

In Loving Memory

In Loving Memory

The Windmill family is devastated to inform you of the passing of one of our crew members on Wednesday of this week. Aljaž Gaberšek was a dedicated volunteer and crew member of the Windmill for multiple years who spread his enthusiasm, quirkiness, and fun to those around him on the Windmill crew and to players at the tournament. We will remember Aljaž for the passions he had in life: ultimate, his friends, and the environment; and we hope to continually take care of these aspects both at our tournament and in our lives.

His memorial ceremony will take place Tuesday ...

Written by Enna Klaversma and Aljaž Gaberšek.

So you know all about phosphorous and the world food supply, etc. OK, but did you know we're making Windmill even more sustainable this year? By pooping and urinating (in the designated areas, of course) at Windmill Windup, you can do your part in the circle ... the Circle of Life!
